Fluvanna Business Alliance to Host Barbecue Fundraiser Nov. 1
The Fluvanna Business Alliance (FBA) will host its first fundraiser, Barbecue at the Park, on Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 3 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Park, featuring barbecue prepared by Howie Brown of Wahoo BBQ.
Tickets are $20 per person and include a BBQ sandwich, two sides and a drink. Guests can pick up their meals to go or stay and enjoy lunch at the park.
The event will raise funds to support the growing organization and its efforts to strengthen Fluvanna County’s business community.
Launched less than a year ago, the FBA has established monthly business breakfasts, After Hours networking events and a mission to support, educate and advocate for local businesses.
Proceeds will help the organization expand its programs and work toward bringing larger community events back to Fluvanna, including a possible revival of the popular BBQ, Bands & Brews event.
Meals are being sold in advance to help organizers plan food quantities and minimize waste. Tickets can be reserved through the Barbecue at the Park online order form. Those who have not already paid will receive a payment request from the FBA after registering.
