The Markets by Tiger has unveiled a custom-designed gas pump at the locally-owned convenience store chain’s Lake Monticello location. Customers who purchase fuel from this specific “Spirit Pump” at the store will both fuel up and give back to their community with their purchase, with funds benefitting the Fluvanna County Athletic Boosters Club.
“The Boosters Club’s theme is ‘grow community and Fluco pride from the inside out’, and this partnership with The Markets by Tiger is the perfect way to bring that mission to life. We’re pumped to add them to our incredible lineup of Fluco community partners, teaming up to raise funds that will ultimately raise the bar for all of our athletics and activities!” says Boosters Club President, Ashley Birckhead.
The Market at Lake Monticello’s Spirit Pump will support the Fluvanna County Athletic Boosters Club from Wednesday, September 16th – May 20th, 2027. 1 cent per gallon of each fill up will support the Fluvanna County Athletic Boosters Club in their efforts to financially support 30 athletics programs and activities sponsored by the Virginia High School League. Fluvanna County High School (FCHS) has over half of their students enrolled in these various athletic programs, so the funds raised will be tremendously beneficial in supporting local athletes.
“We’re extremely excited to partner with The Markets by Tiger on this Spirit Pump to help supplement and raise funds in the community to support the Athletic Department at FCHS.” says Scott Morris, Director of Student Activities for Fluvanna County High School.
The spirit pump will be unveiled on Wednesday, September 16th at a special ribbon cutting event at The Market at Lake Monticello from 1-2PM. Leadership from the Athletic Boosters Club, Fluvanna County High School, and The Markets by Tiger will be present to commemorate the exciting new opportunity for customers to give back when they fuel up.
“We’re really excited to support the Fluvanna County Athletic Boosters Club and have our loyal customers play a role as well. With this being our second Spirit Pump launch of the year, we’re excited to continue investing in our community and seeing how we can support local initiatives as customers fuel up,” says Vice President for The Markets, Maurice Lamarche.
This marks the second Spirit Pump unveiled at a Market location this year.
